The World Steel Semis Markets conference was held on 6-8 October 2008 at The Marmara Istanbul Hotel, Istanbul - Turkey. The event was divided in two sections, the first was devoted to global steel billet market development (day 1) and the second to the slab market (day 2). The event featured an open discussion on billet market expectations. The conference invited the world's steel industry from steel semis producers, steel semis consumers as well as trading companies, transport, financial and other service providers.
Lotta Ulfsdotter Steel Business Manager from the LME delivered a presentation on day 1 of the conference.
