Liquidity Roadmap Latest

The LME Liquidity Roadmap is a set of initiatives designed to make monthly (aka 3rd Wednesday) futures trading on our electronic platform, LMEselect, more liquid, transparent and accessible - as well as a little simpler.

Below is the latest snapshot of what’s going on:

New Electronic Trader Programme
We have introduced a new electornic trader programme which is available to all clients of members, applying to trades on LMEselect in aluminium, copper, lead, nickel, tin and zinc in outright 3rd Wednesdays, and 3 months to and from 3rd Wednesdays .

Extension of Liquidity Provider and New Market Participant Programmes to three additional metals
Lead, nickel and tin have now been added to aluminium, copper and zinc in our Liquidity Provider and New Market Participant Programmes.

Tender reopens for Market Making Programmes
The tender for market making programmes in copper, aluminium and zinc has now re-opened.

Revision of error trade policy
We recently announced changes to the LME's error trade policy, which will provide scope to adjust prices in error trades.

Commencement of Market Making Programmes
The programmes for copper, aluminium and zinc have now begun following an application and selection process.
